FAQ: When you say your skin care is 8 Common Food Allergen free, what does this mean?
Our products when we state are 8 common food allergen free, this means the products we produce do not contain the following ingredients Soy, Wheat (Gluten), Dairy, Eggs, Shellfish, Fish, Tree Nuts, Peanuts.
We also as a company go further so within our products we do not contain harmful ingredients such as
Added Alcohol,
Glycerine from animal or plant deriitives
Sodium Laureth Sulfate (Palm Oil or Coconut Oil processed by Alcoholisation),
Petroleum or liquid Parrafin
Beeswax or Honey or any by product from an insect, animal or mammal
Parabens
Lanolin
All of the above can potentially act as skin drying agents.
This means Raw Skin Food products are suitable for a range of ailment sufferers and they are created to provide hydration to the skin not a dying effect.
FAQ: You are Vegan certified, does this mean you do not use animal by-products including whey powder/beeswax/honey?
That is correct, we are fully Vegan certified and obviously suitable for Vegetarians, plus many other diet intolerant suffers such as Coeliacs, Anaphylaxtics plus all our products are not created in an environment which has any of the 8 Common Food Allergens and is created in a Vegan environment.
We also have the choice for our customers to use Aloe Vera ingredients instead of Cocnut ingredients incase there are sufferers of a Coconut allergy or intolerance.
Plus if anyone feels they need a product removing of an essential oil that can be added into our service at no extra cost due to all products being handmade.
FAQ: When using my cleansing milk(s), the solution looks partially oily and white. Is that okay?
Absolutely. The unrefined oils and natural floral waters are unpreserved or chemicalised. This means that there is nothing but Coconut Oil binding them together, and we do not use toxic dyes to colour our products, so they may separate at times during usage. By shaking the bottle before use and pouring a teaspoon amount into a cupped palm, you dip your fingers in and a apply tiny amounts on the face and massage in circular motions to open the pores and massage away dirt & grime.
FAQ: Your products are also foam free & silicone free. How much quantity do I use per application?
Using a tiny amount per application is key. For our balms, you only need a peasize amount onto the spatula and spread into the skin using your fingers. Cleansing Milks/ Oils should be poured into a cupped palm, using your free hand to massage the milk into the forehead, cheeks & neck area.Then use a wet cotton pad to remove the residue. Our Toniques come with an easy application spray top, which means you can happily carry it around in your handbag or rucksack as it is ideal for traveling. Hold the bottle 3 inches away from the face & neck and spritz 2-5 times per application. This closes the pours and adds light moisture to the skin tissues.
FAQ: If my balm solution is liquidising how do I make it useable?
Our top tip is leave the balm in the fridge or a cool place due to the natural ingredients during the day when you are out and apply it fresh and cold onto the skin. This is ideal for customers living in hotter climates or with direct sunlight coming through the bathroom.
